POTENTIAL TASKS

• Reach out to different organizations for partnerships through social media, email, etc.
• Advocating for our vision and goals
• Share information about once upon a time and our programs with the community
• Maintaining a positive relationship with other organizations to collaborate on potential initiatives
• Create posters/flyers for social media and to distribute
• Weekly commitment (1 – 3 hours)

• Familiarity with Canva and other content creation platforms

• Lead read-aloud programs for children
• Attend weekly meetings
  (1 hour)
• Prepare reading material and discussion questions for read-aloud sessions
  (30 mins – 1 hour)
• Attend prep meetings and debrief sessions

• Adaptability
• Ability to work with children from ages 5 to 13

• Commit 1 hour (weekly) to helping Afghan refugees learn how to read in English online
• Lead read-aloud programs for children
• Adjust and prepare appropriate reading material and critical thinking questions or guiding questions for read-aloud sessions (30 mins – 1 hour)

• Effective verbal and written communication
• Adaptability
• Ability to work with children of all ages (5 – 13 on average) and interests
• Decent knowledge of English phonics, vocabulary, grammar, etc.
